Dinoflagellate and Coscinodiscus (January 5, 2009 #18 and #20)
This began the first of several clips where a new organism is encountered (in my collections) that appear to have one of the photosynthetic "eye spots".

In this video, the Coscinodiscus is laying flat, and currents in the water cause the Coscinodiscus to move and turn on its side, revealing its true three dimensional shape.
